Sugarloaf Adventures

The value of the winter package is a whopping $1,500 and the fall package is $1,100!!!

"Your choice of two outstanding ‘extended weekend’ mountain adventures at the fabulous Sugarloaf Resort in Maine!”

First, the bidding rules:

People can bid on these items at any time from now until they sell as the last items on the Wednesday, December 24th Milk Fund Auction on WOON 1240 Radio.  This is a radio auction, not a web auction.  Information on the web is offered for illumination and description.  Items will be sold live on the radio auction.  A streaming TV broadcast is also available, but bidders must keep in mind that it is offered as a convenience and the TV stream is, by nature, delayed by uncontrollable factors of Internet propagation and must not be relied upon for timing of bids. You can email your bids by clicking this link. Email bids will be accepted only until the final radio auction broadcast begins at 8am EST Wednesday December 24th. Any email bids that come in after 8am on the 24th will not be counted. To place a bid on these items after 8am on the 24th you must call (401)766-1240 or 1-800-449-1240.

Dates offered are not transferrable.  If you don’t use it, you’ll lose it.

In the case of unforeseen confusion or disagreement, the decision of the auctioneer will be final.

This availability is given as a gift to The Milk Fund by the owners as an enticement to donate to The Milk Fund, which the owners wish to encourage for altruistic reasons.  High bidders will be responsible for damages to the unit, and whatever other obligations which any renter of the property would be liable for.  Again, all details are available on this website:

Inspect this offer completely before bidding.

And thanks for remembering The Milk Fund.

You are bidding on one or both of TWO extended weekend stays at our Sugarloaf Mountain townhouse*.

#1 The Sugarloaf Winter Getaway. 1/23/15 – 1/26/15.

With its addition of Brackett Basin, Sugarloaf is now the largest ski resort east of the Rocky Mountains, featuring over 1000 acres of inbounds terrain and the only lift-serviced above-tree line skiing in the East. There are 146 trails and 12 lift to choose from, with enough terrain to keep both the beginner and expert skier and snowboarder happy, including three terrain parks, a Superpipe and a snowboarder-cross course designed by two time Olympic Gold medal winner Seth Westcott. With a vertical drop of 2,820 feet, Sugarloaf offers some of the biggest skiing on the East Coast and more vertical than many western resorts

The developed trails on the mountain offer runs of up to 3.5 miles in length. 23% are marked Green Circle, 33% are Blue Square, 26% are Black Diamond and the remaining 16% are double Black Diamond. The trails are serviced by 15 lifts including the new high speed “skyline” quad lift.

Sugarloaf resort offers many other winter activities in addition to alpine skiing and snowboarding. These include tubing for children, Nordic skiing on 90 km of groomed trails and ice skating on an NHL sized rink at the Sugarloaf Outdoor center, snowshoeing and snowmobiling in some of the surrounding towns. (Additional cost may apply for these activities)

In addition to the use of the condo this package also included 2 full day adult lift tickets donated by the Sugarloaf Mountain Corporation and a $100 Boyne Resort gift card which can be applied to the purchase of additional lift tickets, use of the Sugarloaf Health and Fitness center, the Sugarloaf Gift Shop or other Sugarloaf Mountain resort functions.

Donor value of the Winter Sugarloaf getaway is $1,500.

#2 The Sugarloaf Fall Getaway: 10/02/2015 to 10/05/2015

Included is a $100 Boyne Resorts/Sugarloaf Mountain gift certificate that can be used at many of the mountain’s summer operations such as the Sugarloaf golf pro shop, Sugarloaf Health and Fitness center, the Sugarloafer Gift Shop and other resort summertime activities.

The gift card can also be used for scenic chairlift rides up the mountain and the very popular zip line rides. Both of these operate on weekends only, weather permitting. Zip line rides may require a reservation.

The Sugarloaf golf course is highly rated and has won numerous awards.

The Carrabasett Valley area also offers white water rafting, fishing, hiking, moose watching and canoeing.

Donor value of the Fall Sugarloaf package is $1,100.
