Christopher Carbajal (age 28)

On December 10, 2021, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Christopher Carbajal with one count of murder, one count of possession of a knife with a blade over three inches in length, one count of simple assault, and one count of resisting arrest. The alleged acts occurred in the town of North Providence sometime on or about May 1, 2021. The North Providence Police Department conducted the investigation. The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on December 29, 2021 in Providence Superior Court.

 

 

Christopher Grossett (age 38)

Woonsocket, R.I.

On December 10, 2021, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Christopher Grossett with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon in a dwelling, one count of assault with a deadly weapon resulting in serious bodily injury, one count of domestic assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of domestic breaking and entering, one count of simple assault, one count of domestic simple assault, one count of domestic vandalism, and two counts of possession of a weapon other than a firearm. The alleged acts occurred in the city of Woonsocket sometime on or about September 27, 2021. The Woonsocket Police Department conducted the investigation. The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on December 29, 2021 in Providence Superior Court.

 

 

Alexander Hardy (age 44)

On December 10, 2021, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Alexander Hardy with one count of first-degree sexual assault and one count of assault on a person over 60 years of age. The alleged acts occurred in the city of Pawtucket sometime on or about August 10, 2021. The Pawtucket Police Department conducted the investigation. The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on December 29, 2021 in Providence Superior Court.

 

 

Jose Rivera (age 31)

Providence, R.I.

On December 10, 2021, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Jose Rivera with one count of first-degree sexual assault, one count of domestic strangulation, and one count of domestic simple assault. The alleged acts occurred in the city of Providence sometime on or about July 3, 2021. The Providence Police Department conducted the investigation. The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on December 29, 2021 in Providence Superior Court.

 

 

The wife and children of the man charged in the antisemitic attack that injured 12 people in Colorado are in ICE custody. The White House announced Tuesday on its official X account that Mohamed Soliman's wife and five children have been captured and are now in ICE custody for expedited removal. The Department of Homeland Security is currently looking into what the family knew exactly about Soliman's plans.        President Trump's so-called "Big Beautiful Bill" is being criticized by Elon Musk. Saying he "just can't stand it anymore," Musk on Tuesday called the legislation a "disgusting abomination." Republican senators Rand Paul and Mike Lee backed Musk's criticism while House Speaker Mike Johnson called his comments "very disappointing" and "terribly wrong."        Two new witnesses are on the stand in the 16th day of Sean "Diddy" Combs' sex trafficking trial in New York. A forensic video expert and a friend of Combs' ex-girlfriend Cassie Venture are set to testify. Yesterday, a Los Angeles security supervisor detailed how he helped Diddy and his team secure a video that allegedly showed Combs assaulting Ventura.        New tariffs imported steel and aluminum are now in effect. The White House says the increase is in response to "trade practices that undermine national security." President Trump announced the new tariffs last week during a rally at a Pittsburgh steel mill, saying they "will even further secure the steel industry in the United States."        Washington state authorities are looking for a father suspected of killing his three young daughters. The girls -- ages five, eight and nine -- were found Monday afternoon near a campground in Chelan County east of Seattle. Police say Travis Decker is wanted for their murders.        The Indiana Pacers are finally in Oklahoma City for the NBA Finals after facing travel issues. The team's flight to Oklahoma City was re-directed to Tulsa to refuel due to severe weather. The NBA Finals are set to tipoff tomorrow.
