There are so many reasons why you should stop in at Johnny’s Victory Diner, I had to do a whole newsletter about everything they’re doing!  

 

 

Big News!!!  BBQ Opening day is May 19. Johnny’s was voted “Best BBQ Restaurant in Rhode Island” by Food and Wine magazine in 2020. The Pitmaster learned from the best – really!!! Johnny was trained in the art of barbecue in Georgia by celebrity chef Myron Mixon, a four-time barbecue World Champion.

The food is all scratch made and delicious. And the menu is so creative. They are constantly changing their menu so there is always something new to try

 

Breakfast – you can choose from eggs, omelets, homemade pancakes, French toast, breakfast “sammies”, eggs “benny”, waffles, crepes, oatmeal, muffins, bagels, hash browns and specials such as the "Holy Grail" (pictured) and more!  

 

 

 

 



 

Boozy Brunch – Plan on brunch on Sundays from 7 am to 1 pm for some great specials and drinks.  

 

 

 

 

Lunch – you can choose from soups and salads, burgers, signature, classic and club

Sandwiches. 

 

 

 

Fresh Fish Fridays – On Fridays, they are open until 8 pm (9 pm during BBQ season) and offer fresh seafood (stuffies, a fisherman’s platter, clamcakes and chowder) as well as their famous fish and chips, a clam plate and clam roll, a fried scallop plate, baked scrod and a fish wrap – a variety of sides too.  

 

 

Real Southern BBQ – Also on Fridays (starting May 19 until October) you can enjoy Johnny’s Famous Apps (such as the smoked chicken egg rolls) and his Pitmaster Favorites – brisket, ribs, chicken – and sandwiches with many choices of sides.  

 

 

 

Ask about the desserts of the day – whatever you choose, you can be sure it is homemade! You might choose from apple crisp, toll house pie, brownie sundaes, grapenut pudding and more!

They have an outdoor heated deck – how much fun is that?!

 

And on Friday nights from 6 pm to 9 pm there’s live music on the deck.  

 

 

They support their community! They often run fundraisers and collection drives for community organizations, sports team and schools, such as a Burrillville Snack Pack Program.

It’s in a pretty country setting and there is plenty of parking. It’s casual and comfortable and you’ll have a great time!!! They make it easy – Johnny’s accepts MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express.  Hours are: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6 am to 1 pm; Sunday from 7 am to 1 pm (closed Tuesday). Friday evenings from 6 pm to 8 pm (9 pm during barbecue season).

President Trump remains undecided on a U.S. strike on Iran. He met with his national security team today to discuss possible next moves in the Iran-Israel conflict. Trump also said he may meet with Iranian leaders at the White House, adding "We'll see what happens."        Karen Read has been found not guilty of killing her Boston cop boyfriend. Her lawyers argued she was being framed by police for his death. The jury found Read not guilty on second-degree murder and manslaughter charges, but did find her guilty of driving under the influence.        Interest rates are being held steady by the Federal Reserve. This marks the fourth straight time the Central Banks have kept rates steady. Rates will remain high and hover between four-and-a-quarter and four-and-a-half percent.        A Tennessee law restricting gender transition care for minors is being upheld by the Supreme Court. In what is being viewed as a major setback for transgender rights, the 6-3 ruling from the court will likely cause widespread impact as 24 other states have similar laws to the one in Tennessee. The law bans gender transition surgery, puberty blockers and hormone therapy.        Hurricane Erick has strengthened into a Category 2 storm in the Eastern Pacific. The storm has sustained winds of almost 100 miles per hour as it continues on its path toward Mexico. According to the National Hurricane Center, it's expected to intensify before making landfall on the southern Mexican coast by tonight and could reach major hurricane status.        Bruce Springsteen fans are getting their first look at his upcoming biopic starring Jeremy Allen White. The first trailer for "Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere" dropped today. It's based on the book that details Springsteen's time making the 1982 album "Nebraska."
