Splashy Days Are Here Again!

Mayor Baldelli-Hunt Highlights City Splash Pad Back in Service To Beat Summer Heat

WOONSOCKET, R.I.: Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt today highlighted that the City of Woonsockets splash pad at World War II Veterans Memorial Park was reopened earlier this month for local children to enjoy during the remaining dog days of summer. The splash pad had been down since June 16th due to an electrical component malfunction as well as a delay by the shipping company transporting the part.

The Mayor detailed that the splash pad is now open seven days a week during the hours of 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, weather permitting. She also reminded everyone that to maintain a healthy, family friendly environment, all smoking is prohibited at the splash pad and throughout World War II Veterans Memorial Park.

The Mayor stated, "I am happy to announce that our children can get back to splashing and keeping cool over the rest of the summer at our popular splash pad. Temperatures are still spiking, and World War II Veterans Memorial Park and our splash pad is a great gathering place for our residents and their families to have a fun time during the rest of summer."
