Mayor Proudly Announces New Entrance Sign as a Welcoming Addition to Vibrant Oak Grove Neighborhood

WOONSOCKET, R.I.: Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt today announced a new entrance sign for the Oak Grove neighborhood. The tasteful new sign attached to a stone veneer signpost with sculpted texture announces the entrance to Oak Grove with visible lettering and an iconic oak tree image. The new entrance sign is prominently displayed on the corner of Talcott and Mendon Road, replacing the previous wooden sign that had rotted and deteriorated with age.

The Mayor indicated that the new entrance sign is a significant milestone for an Oak Grove neighborhood that has experienced recent rapid residential development and where homes are in high demand. Oak Grove now has approximately 283 residential homes.

Mayor Baldelli-Hunt stated, "The new entrance sign to Oak Grove provides a great first impression and warm reception to residents and visitors alike. Oak Grove is a positive, vibrant place to live, work, and raise a family. The new entrance sign reflects its unique character and presents a beautiful and welcoming symbol of neighborhood pride."

Ryan Leech, City Construction Supervisor, offered, "With the rapid growth of the vibrant and robust Oak Grove neighborhood, this new bold and beautiful entrance sign shows its importance to the City, and the unwavering commitment that the City has to its residents."
