Rhode Island Criminal Justice Hall of Fame to induct 7 members in 2023 class

 

PROVIDENCE, RI – The Rhode Island Criminal Justice Hall of Fame will hold an induction ceremony for its 2023 class of inductees on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Seven distinguished members of Rhode Island’s criminal justice community will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at a ceremony held at the Office of the Attorney General.

 

Established in 2012, the Rhode Island Criminal Justice Hall of Fame honors outstanding professionals who have worked to improve and uphold the principles of the criminal justice system in Rhode Island.

 

The Hall of Fame’s 2023 class of inductees are:

  • Roosevelt Benton
  • William J. Ferland
  • Chief Elwood M. Johnson, Jr.
  • Robert Lauro
  • Attorney General Patrick C. Lynch
  • Federal District Court Judge Mary S. McElroy
  • Colonel Russell S. Serpa
