Mayor Welcomes Woonsocket Residents and Business Owners to Comprehensive Plan Workshop

WOONSOCKET, R.I.: Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt today welcomed all Woonsocket residents and business owners to the final public workshop for the City’s new Comprehensive Plan that will take place on Wednesday, October 25, from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at the Woonsocket Education Center located at 115 Main Street. City staff will be available to answer questions about the Comprehensive Plan and take any comments or suggestions.

The Comprehensive Plan is a shared vision of Woonsocket’s future and a roadmap that guides how to get there. It will help decide on new development, local business development and job creation, community services and infrastructure investments, and environmental and historic site preservation.

The Mayor stated, "I urge everyone interested in Woonsocket’s future to attend the workshop and learn more about our proposed new Comprehensive Plan. Our Planning and Development Department is excited to reveal what this draft of the Comprehensive Plan looks like and how it will help steer us to become an even better place to live, work, raise a family, and operate a business."

State law requires the City of Woonsocket to update the Comprehensive Plan every ten years. The current draft is ready for review and is available online at https://www.woonsocketplanning.com/.
